Bio

Quevina Scarver enjoys writing romance and science fiction for the young adult audience. She tells tales that capture your heart and put your mind in another world. The joy of reading did come at a rather late age, but she picked it up quickly. When she was just 19 she was going through a difficult struggle and one thing pulled her through: reading. After reading the works of Stephanie Meyers, she found that her life was missing a few things, things of vital importance. Among those was the desire to write and tell stories. It didn’t take long for sentences to walk through her head and beg to be on paper. That was when the writer was born.

Every book is a book worth reading, but everyone has their favorite author(s). For writers these favorite author(s) ignite the flame that makes a book come to life. Some authors that inspired Quevina to continue writing are Stephanie Meyers, Richelle Mead, Rebecca Donovan, Amanda Hocking, and Veronica Roth. These women have made ways for themselves and have become recognized by many people. They have become an inspiration to Quevina in the hopes that she will one day as well known as anyone of them.

Over the years she has found that she has a particular gift for reaching out to the young adult readers. Wanting to hone her craft she chose to attend the new program at Full Sail University, where she received her BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment.

While at Full Sail, Quevina has studied a variety of writing mediums and genres, which have served her well in her current career as editor and staff writer for a production company currently in development of shows for television. Among Quevina’s published works are the short story “The Truth Inside” (currently on Amazon.com), “The Soul Seer” series, “The Forgotten Cemetery”, and an untitled work about a young girl struggling through a life of abuse from her mother and trying to keep it a secret out of fear. The first book in this series is due out early 2015.
